“Cervince! What is the status of the ‘Stray’?”
“He has been isolated Primary Investigator. The aggressive male was sent to kill the others in his group. For some reason, he took the female we have been studying hostage after killing the others.”
“Do we know why he deviated from your orders?”
“He seems to have developed some sort of attachment to her. His emotional structures have not followed the usual patterns of distortion we have seen in the past subjects fitting his profile.”
“Is there anything, other than exposure to your ‘Stray’ that could account for this difference in this specimen?”
“That seems to be the only difference. My intent is to allow this to run its course and see where it takes us. We can always step in and terminate her if we need to. Besides, it gives the ‘Stray’ motivation to act and reveal more of his nature when in conflict.”
“Bear in mind, mind wipe and termination will probably be required when we have our results.”
